At least one person is seriously hurt after a crash involving a tractor-trailer on the Capital Beltway in Prince George’s County early Thursday. Rush-hour traffic was backed up for miles.
The crash occurred on the Inner Loop at Route 202 before 5 a.m. The county fire department described a multi-vehicle crash that left debris in the roadway. Video shows the traffic backup.
One person was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, they said.
Drivers were told to expect delays. State police are investigating the cause of the crash.
