4 things to know about the weather:

  1. Dry skies for Saturday night
  2. Clouds thickening overnight
  3. Showers & storms early Sunday before a break in the afternoon
  4. More showers & storms likely Sunday evening

Saturday was likely the best day of the weekend, with plenty of sunshine, seasonable temperatures and dry conditions across the D.C. metro region. Skies will be dry Saturday evening, so outdoor plans are a go.

For Sunday, expect some showers and thunderstorms, especially during mid-morning through afternoon. We’ll have a break from the rain in the afternoon before more showers and storms Sunday evening.

Some storms could become strong to severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain being the biggest concerns.
