Stevie Wonder is going on the road to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his legendary album “Songs in the Key of Life,” and the tour includes a stop in D.C.
Wonder will perform at Capital One Arena on Monday, Nov. 23, the venue announced Tuesday. Tickets are set to go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday.
He’s set to play “Songs in the Key of Life” in its entirety, according to Live Nation, which is promoting the tour. The album, which included hits like “Isn’t She Lovely” and “Sir Duke,” earned Wonder one of his three Grammy Awards for Album of the Year.
The announcement comes days after Wonder appeared live on stage with the band Kez during a D.C. JazzFest performance.
Other stops on the Songs in The Key of Life Performances 50th Anniversary tour include New York on Nov. 19, Chicago on Nov. 21, Detroit on Dec. 8 and 9, then Inglewood, Calif., on Dec. 19.
