A man was shot and killed in Glover Park Wednesday night, according to police.
Police were called to the area at about 8 p.m. for a report of gunshots. Officers then found the man dead in an apartment.
The circumstances of exactly what happened were not immediately clear.
Police on the scene were investigating a white Kia with Virginia license plates, but it is not clear whether that was connected to the homicide.
News4 saw police walking a small, white dog. It’s unclear whether the dog was inside the apartment at the time of the shooting.
The shooting took place just a few blocks from a murder scene in February where a woman was killed by her boyfriend. Her 10-year-old daughter was injured, and her baby son was briefly kidnapped.
