Early voting has already begun in Virginia and continues through Saturday, Oct. 31.

Do you need ID to vote in Virginia in 2026?

If you vote by using a provisional ballot, you’ll still need to bring a copy of your ID to your locality’s electoral board by noon on the Friday after the election.

The deadline to register is 11 days before the general election, although same-day registration will also be available by using a provisional ballot.
