
Three people are seriously hurt after a crash on Route 301 in Prince George’s County that left people trapped, authorities say.
The crash occurred on southbound Route 301 before MD-5. All lanes were blocked at the county line, with delays building as of midday Tuesday.
Chopper4 video shows a car and a minivan with major damage. Airbags appeared to have deployed. Debris was scattered on the roadway.
Two people were medevaced in critical condition, the county fire department said. One person was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
An extended road closure was expected.
No information was immediately released on the potential cause of the crash.
